Bogota, ColumbiaProject Entrada ![]() November 2008, Bogota - Defenestration January 2009, Toronto - Nohayquiensepa Project Entrada is a professional production that will be created by a team of professional artists, ten of whom are from Canada. The project will be directed by Patricia Ariza (Colombia) with the support of Carlos Satizabal, and will follow their unique Collective Creation process which has devised an incredible body of work over the last 30 years. It should be noted that while we have a tradition of “collective creation” in Canada, the specific Colombian process has a rigour and structure to it that makes it distinct from our own. The project was led by Natasha Mytnowych (theatre revolve) , Beatrice Pizano (Aluna Theatre) and Adriana Sabogal (Tridha arts) As part of the project Ravi Jain led workshops in Clown with local and community based groups including the Generations group, which is comprised of young women, their mothers and grandmothers all telling their own stories. A moving experience that had its challenges, but was full of laughter. The project culminated in the creation and performance of Defenistration an abstract study of what it means to be displaced, without home and trapped in undefinable lines. Following the project Ravi continued with Aluna theatre’s explorations of the techniques learned to help create Nohayquiensepa, which was presented at Harbourfront’s HATCH program and the Summerworks Festival 2009.
