Late Company

Project Description:

Late Company

by Jordan Tannahill

“Late Company is first-rate theatre, searing but holding out a touch of hope and connection in its last moments.” –  5/5 N’s Now Magazine

“The entire ensemble, under the very precise direction of Peter Pasyk, is brilliant” – Bateman Reviews

“The final play in The Theatre Centre’s November Ticket triptych is its most intimate look at grief and loss–and the most optimistic.” – Torontoist

“Best New Play” “Best Production” “Best Director” “Best Ensemble” – NOW Magazine’s Summerworks Round-up

One year after a tragedy, two families sit down to dinner. Far from finding the closure they seek, the dinner strips bare their good intentions to reveal layers of parental, sexual, and political hypocrisy. Written with sensitivity and humour, Late Company is both a timely and timeless meditation on a parent’s struggle to comprehend the monstrous and unknown in their child. The smash hit of the 2013 Summerworks Festival returns for a full run as part of the November Ticket.
